real men sew.

Being away from my home/workplace for some time has changed my perspective on things. It’s just so weird to be back! Back to my huge imac, my sewing machine, my guitars and amps. I feel like I have changed more than ever. I find it amazing how easy people slip back into their old habits and routine. If I have learned anything from my stay in Seattle, that is comfort stunts growth. Moving around, meeting completely different people, and being somewhere completely fresh and different has helped me grasp a better understanding of who I am. If one thing is for certain, it is that I belong somewhere else.

Leaving for one week of snowboarding in Oregon. This will be the longest time spent away from my music.

Leaving for one week of snowboarding in Oregon. This will be the longest time spent away from my music.

The same time last year I went to my first concert. City and Colour, in Orlando. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was freezing cold waiting outside. I remember when they called my name to meet him. I went up and shook Dallas’s hand, asked him a few questions, and had my photo taken with him. He loved my old sx-70, although, I think blinded him with the flash. The show was the best thing I had witnessed.

To this day, Dallas Green remains to be not only my favorite musician, but also my inspiration.

2010 was an incredible year for me. And now 2011 is here, and I’m working on some amazing things with some amazing people. I love how everything is turning out.
